On a Wing and a Prayer

A vibrant evening and colourful sky

On boarded the airship with a childish smile

With 30 in flight crew, and over a 100 pax, began our journey on the airship Life.

Full throttle and a smooth take off, the ship soon floating on the cotton clouds.

Making merry, while the ship sailed.

A snag and a wing failed.

God! Why me, I thought. ..

No longer was it a smooth sail, 

The ship manoeuvred like a dogs tail.

No choice, I thought..may be destiny believed, I can fight this with my will. 

On a wing and a prayer,

The descent began, 

The safety of the pax and crew in my hands.

Gathered all my courage, trying to handle the sail.

I shall manage this and let not the trust fail.

A stock of supplies and a smile, 

Reassured myself to take it mile by mile.

Some turbulence and frightening swirls

Yet it still sailed towards the earth. 

Mile after mile the heart pounded, 

The mind numb, just obscure thoughts hounded.

On a wing and a prayer the journey continued. 

And a strip spotted so was our avenue.

The wheels came out and the breath held.

Thud! We landed safe and well.

On a wing and a prayer..

I thanked god..and he said..I knew you are the one who could have fought.

HOPE

Galloping like a wild horse,

Ain't pausing to breathe either

Aim in the head, but mind untamed.

Hurdles, terrains, climbs and pitfalls

Undettered and adamant,trying to cross them all.

No sign of the summit nor victory.

I am tired,  just wanna breathe for a minute.

Gather my resources and a new rope,  to resume my journey with a revitalised hope.

Life - Crest & Through

Living in harmony in a fun filled space,
None was in a race and each was in his own pace.
Amidst the peace and tranquil,Came an ugly phase, 
Smiles were lost and the heart raced
Myriad challenges and not a speck of light.
Life wasn't alive, was full of fright. 
Prayers and endeavour seemed to yeild nought
With the grey and the heart all night I fought.
Can't leave it, nor live with it.
All that I hope for is the fun filled space
Where I aint in no race and moving at my pace.

O' Woman

The early morning rays gate crashing through the window, right on your face illuminating the glow.

The wind pushing herself to move that strand off your face.

The birds singing a refreshing song, helping you stretch and start your day with a smile.

That's natures way to care for you, to make you feel the warmth and to affirm that you are the best.

O' woman you are so powerful, you embrace all hurdles with a smile.

Walking with my hands clasped in yours, gives me so much pride!

Happy Living

When ones left fighting with their circumstances. When the day is longer than ever imagined. Its time for some "me time". Sit back on your most comfortable arm chair, close your eyes and re wind to your past. 

Think of your beautiful parents who contributed to what you are today. Your childhood and your fights with your best pal. Hilarious! Isn't it? The time spent with the people you love/d. Your first crush and the goose bumps. The heart pounding and the lips smacking.

Think of the love, showered on you by your family and the smiling kid embracing you in the evening. Look forward to the rising sun and the happiness and warmth its going to drench you with. Look forward to tomorrow, there's lot of goodness waiting to happen.

Play Life

Life plays some mysterious games
And then convincingly destiny is blamed.

Love demands trust; the most expensive gift one can thrust

"Friends forever", one shouts out loud;
When friends betray; we cry foul!

Life is a game; with its rules and a ground.
Create your space; and play your shots around.

To each his own; and everyone's true.
And when one has to win; the other has to lose
Follow the rules and be within the ground.

There are emotions; cause your heart still beats
Emotions are false; they might just retreat.

You make your destiny and play games with life!
Plan your moves...you'll be alright!

Energized

When you move around carrying Tupperware door to door at an age when it’s time for you to enjoy your vacations.

When you give tuition while your peers are enjoying their night out at a disc

When you fund your own education while you teach software at a computer institute

When you are less dependent on your parents and make your living by working in the nights

When you are a crowd-puller and striving to build leaders

When you have lost your youth & friends to be a mentor to quite a few aspiring fighters

When with your experience and love, care to build lives;

When you have built a life on your own, you will like the sun keep shining and emitting energy;

There would be a section that will crib about the heat and many others who would see just rays of positivity.

Nevertheless, keep shining, glowing and emitting energy. Unlike the sun, you have the option of shining on those who need your warmth.
